Chaplain Rhonda Harkins, CFGC Prayer Chaplain

Rhonda Harkins was ordained and endorsed by CFGC as a Prayer and Missions Chaplain in January, 2009. She was born in Stockton, California, but raised in Wichita Falls, Texas. Rhonda graduated from Oklahoma State University and attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where she majored in Religious Education. She taught in public and private schools for twelve years.

Currently, Rhonda is working part-time in the Life and Health Insurance industry with Bill, her husband of thirty-eight years. Bill and Rhonda have two married children and reside in Haltom City, TX. She was the Prayer Chaplain for a charter school system, Advantage Academy, and oversees a prayer website ministry called Lighthouse Intercessors. Rhonda and her husband are active members at Gateway Church in Southlake, TX serving as altar ministers.

She has been on many mission trips, spoken at and organized women’s conferences and retreats, led Bible classes, organized service projects, written Bible curriculum and evangelistic tracts that have been translated in seven languages, led in healing room ministries, directed children’s clubs and camps, ministered in prisons and hospitals, and has organized patriotic events honoring our military. Rhonda has been the Haltom City National Day of Prayer Coordinator. She is currently writing a prayer book emphasizing the Jewish months and holidays.
